Police inspect nose masks

Personnel from the National Patrol Department Visibility of the Ghana Police Service recently embarked on a visibility check in Accra, including the inspection of nose masks.

The mask inspection ostensibly was in line with efforts by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease in the region.

They were seen along the Kwame Nkrumah Circle cautioning drivers and passengers who flout the directive to wear face masks. Those without the masks were asked to buy one on the spot.

According to him, they were dispatched to enforce traffic regulation and ensure safety protocols were observed.

A face mask is beneficial to the user and others as it helps to control spread of the disease by an infected person(s).
