Agnes Ofosu Antwi makes final journey home

The  funeral rites  of the late Mrs. Agnes Ofosu Antwi, staff of the New Times Corporation (NTC) were held last  weekend at the Kotoku Papase School Park in the Greater Accra Region.

She was with the Marketing Department and died on February 9, 2022 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

Various tributes read described the late Agnes Ofosu Antwi as a very jovial, disciplinarian and a staunch Christian who was ever ready to go the extra mile to  the work of God.

Rev Dr Sam Ato Bentil, General Treasurer Assemblies of God and Head pastor Liberty Assemblies of God, Abeka- Lapaz,  in a sermon from 1 Corinthians 15:19- 24 told Christians that death may be worrisome, but it would be of gain when the person died in the Lord.

“For me to live be Christ and to live is gain. When one dies in Christ it becomes precious in the sight of the lord” he added.

He further explained that Auntie Aggie was resting in the bosom of the Creator and that we should be happy because “she fought a good battle and has won her race”.

Rev. Bentil encouraged the gathering continue to pray for the bereaved family because even though death could be peaceful in Christ, it came with fear and troubles.

She was finally laid to rest at the Papase Cemetery.
