Amakye Dede thrills fans at his birthday party
Ghanaian highlife legend Abrantie Amakye Dede on Saturday, January 8, thrilled hundreds of music lovers at his 64th birthday celebration party.
The event which took place at Bayview Villaat Prampram in celebration of the music legend saw the performance from one of Ghana’s finest spoken word artiste Rhyme Sonny, who wove words around the exploits of Abrantie Amakye Dede.
Young and dynamic musician Righteous Vandyck took over and commenced with ‘Odo Ho Akyere Noa’ from Amakye Dede’s repertoire and a couple of songs to get the audience on their feet.

It continued with a heavenly ministration by gospel music dynamo, Empress Gifty, who led the gathering to the throne of God through her life touching songs, coupled with praise and worship.
Akwaboah snr. came through with a sterller performance as he sat behind the organ to serenade the atmosphere with love among others.
Another highlife gem Pozo Hayes took over the batton with mindblowing performance as he sang songs from his archives of hit songs.
KK Kabobo threw patrons into an atmosphere of excitement as they kept singing along with him.
The moment everyone was waiting for came as friends and family joined the birthday celebrant, Amakye Dede to cut the cake, which was followed by extraordinary performance from the maestro.
He sang many songs from his repertoire in appreciation of what the owner of Bayview Village and Villa, Vincent Dogbatse and fans had done for him on such a special day.
