The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Joana Gyan Foundation and producer of Ghanaian music duo, Keche, has been installed ‘mpuntuo hemaa’ (development queen) of Wassa Agona Amenfi.

Joana Gyan is also the CEO of Golden Empire Legacy Limited, under which Keche is signed onto.

As an indigene of the town in the Western North Region, she was crowned last Saturday with the stool name Nana Adwoa Awo I.

The Joana Gyan Foundation had made a stop there to donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as fumigate and disinfect the township.

Joan Gyan is the wife of singer, Andrew of Keche fame,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Elders and opinion leaders of the town explained that they bestowed this honour on her because of the concern and her willingness to improve the lives of the people in the town.

As mpuntuo hemaa, Nana Adwoa Awo I is to support and help with further improvement of the area.

Meanwhile, the Foundation is on a mission to help combat the coronavirus at Wassa Agona Amenfi and had already hired the services of Delete Ghana, a waste management and environmental protection company to fumigate churches, mosques, the palace, police station and the markets.

The foundation donated nose masks, hand sanitisers and other items to the inhabitants.

This formed part of the Joana Gyan Foundation Corporate Social Responsibility and the government’s effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

There were a team of financial experts to educate the inhabitants on their finances while another team of health practitioners screened for free.
