Budding female Ghanaian prodigy, Renner has disclosed that but for the feature by legendary Reggae duo, Chaka Demus and Pliers, he would have ended her music ambition.
Legendary Jamaican duo, Chaka Demus & Pliers, have released their latest single, “Young Gyal Business (Refix),” featuring Ghanaian artiste Renner.
“Young Gyal Business” is a rework of the classic Chaka Demus hit, with a , modern twist.
The refix features Pliers and Renner’s smooth vocals and a catchy new beat, making it a perfect choice of any party or dance floor.
Renner in an interview with The Spectator revealed that when she first heard the news that she had been chosen amongst other female artistes to be on this feature with the legends, she screamed in thanksgiving to God.
She gives thanks to God, the good people around her, and her hard work.
The sultry singer said, the opportunity came at a point in her career where she had thoughts of switching from music to other fields to make ends meet.
“This has inspired me to keep my focus in music, because nothing is too late, and once I produce good music and people appreciate it , I should continue working hard,” she said.
She added that “to sing with the legends like Chaka Demus and Pliers is as if I am featured in the Bible, which is forever going to be recorded.”
Renner expressed her appreciation to King Lagazee, Chaka Demus, and Plier for believing in her for the ‘Young Gyal Business” prefix.
The track was produced by Chaka Demus, Bright Star Production, and Yard Slippaz Ent, with the new riddim created by, Kirk “Kirkledove” Bennett.
The release of “Young Gyal Business (Refix)” is the latest in a string of successful collaborations between Chaka Demus and Pliers.
The duo are known for thier hit songs such as “Murder She Wrote” and “Tease Me, Twist and Shout,” among others.
