Christmas would start early for Ghanaians as Global Media Alliance lines up top artistes for this Year African Legends Night.

This year’s event scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Centre would be an all Ghanaian affair.

Patrons would enjoy an evening with one of Ghana’s finest female voices, Efya, who has dazzled on all platforms she has mounted.

The energy would be taken to another level with the fans’ favourite when it comes to live band music as Samini will be in his elements on the big stage.

One would need a lot of energy to match the fast tempo of songs like, Kotosa, Dada Didi, as legendary Rex Omar takes his turn to entertain the crowd.

A moment many cannot afford to miss would be a session with the Iron Boy, Abrantie Amakye Dede. Clearly, it would be an excitement from one classic to the other.

Speaking at the launch at the National Museum, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng, said with the legendary line-up for the concert coupled with these new initiatives, the show would be pushed to greater heights.

The CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Mr Akwasi Agyeman also said music tourism had become a major global trend where people move around countries to experience entertainment and cultural activities including musical concerts.

He said the Ghana Tourism Authority had taken a deliberate policy to position Ghana as the best destination for music tourism especially in December, and commended Global Media Alliance for hosting the African Legends Night in December endorsed by the GTA under the Beyond the Return initiative.

The African Legends Night is a high-profile concert which recognises and celebrates African musicians who are considered living legends.

New additions to this year’s celebrations are the creation of the African Legends Hall of Fame and a setting up of the African Legends Digital Museum to document the recognition of African music legends.
