Church of Pentecost honours Apostle Gakpetor and family

The Anyaa Ablekuma Area of the Church of Pentecost (CoP) last Sunday held a farewell service in honour of the Area Pastor, Apostle Samuel Kojo Gakpetor and Family.

The service which was held at the Anyaa Central Auditorium and officiated by Apostle Patrick Aseyoro, Odorkor Area Head attracted all Ministers and their wives in the Area, Area Executives of the various Ministries, government officials, traditional authorities, family members as well as friends and well-wishers.

Apostle Aseyoro, in a short sermon, said God’s purpose for mankind was to do His work and draw more souls for His Kingdom.

He said despite the obstacles, once “He has called and sent you, He will go before you and direct your paths as He told the Israelites.”

He admonished Apostle Gakpetor to continue to seek the face and direction of God in all his endeavours.

He stressed on the need for the new Apostle not to hesitate on seeking the views of church members in whichever decisions he may want to take in line with his duties.

As part of the event, the Area Presbytery and Women’s Ministry as well as other ministries, paid glowing tribute to Apostle Gakpetor and his wife and presented citations and plaques to them for their immense contributions towards the growth of the Church in the Area during his tenure.

Apostle and Mrs Grace Gakpetor and family expressed appreciation to the church members and leadership for their support and cooperation during their four year stay in the Anyaa Ablekuma Area.

Dignitaries present at the event included: Hon. Dr Dickson Adomako Kissi (Member of Parliament for Anyaa Sowutuom), Madam Cynthia Animaa Badu, (NCCE, Ga Central) Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, (Former Chairman, CoP) and Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi (General Secretary, of CoP).
