It was fun galore when MTN’sCorporate Communications team and media personnel of the MTN Media Republicengaged in a health walk christened‘MTN Bright Media walk’ last Saturday.

It was a 5.4km walk, a distancethat may have appeared an easy space for regular keep fitters but for the corporate staff and journalists in the MTN Republic, it was a challenge every member accepted and vowed to conquer.
When the announcement of the route followed, ‘walkers’ who were familiar with the landscape knew the task at hand.

That notwithstanding, every member looked set and ‘loaded for a fitness war.’
Resplendently kitted for the occasion, Madam Adwoa Wiafe, the Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer of MTN, led a determined MTN team to the starting point, ready for a showdown.
With her were able lieutenants Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, Efua Falconer, Afua Serwah Asafo-Adjei, Olivier Mifetu, Shiela Sorinye, Cynthia Akuteye and Nash Odoi.
After a health screening exercise that saw blood pressure and sugar levels of participants checked, participants converged on the entrance of the Legon Botanical Gardens ready to burn some calories.

Theywalked briskly through the TF Gate, Law School, Athletic Oval, Registry, Balme Library and back to the Law School, Pent, Evandy, TF Gate and ended at the gardens under the directions of a physical instructor, Matthew Frimpong, who doubles as a pharmacist.
In the garden, members were taken through an aerobic session and were saved by the rain’s intensity and followed by refreshment, a musical chairs event and prize presentation.
Addressing members,Madam Adwoa Wiafe commended all for taking part and advised members to take physical exercise serious.
