Ghana’s tourism sector on the right path- Delphine Brew-Hammond

The Director of Events and Operations Miss Tourism Ghana organisation, Mrs.Delphine Brew-Hammond has expressed hope in the country’s tourism drive.

According to her, all efforts put in place, are focused on getting the needed results to aid the growth of the sector.

Mrs.Delphine Brew-Hammond who was recently adjudged Outstanding Tourism Woman of The Year at the National Tourism Awards for her contributions to the sector told The Spectator in an interview that “she sees efforts and measures put in place by the Ministry of Tourism, Ghana Tourism Authority,Ghana Tourism Development Company and other agencies as a journey on the right path to success.”

She said with the launch of Destination Ghana in UK, signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), in addition to policies, support for stakeholders and easing of COVID-19 restrictions, there is hope of a bright future ahead.

Mrs.Brew-Hammond urged Ghanaians to continuously patronise tourism activities in Ghana to boost the sector, and called for more investment.

She said her recent award would go a long way to motivate her to work harder in the promotion of tourism in the country.

“I deserve it, and I’m glad that people have seen my work, and knowing that your effort has been acknowledged makes you happy, and I will continue to work hard for the industry,” she said.

She added that this year’s Miss Tourism Ghana launch was slated for May 29 at Tang Palace Hotel and asked the youth to get involved and become tourism ambassadors for the country.
