Speaking to The Spectator, TiC said it was long overdue, but felt honoured that the time had finally come.

According to him, he was humbled by the recognition of his contribution, adding that it was a great feeling.

TiC added that it would encourage others to also work hard in every corner they find themselves, knowing that their hard work would not go unnoticed.

The Ghanaian icon said there was a lot up his sleeves which would be released in the coming days, and thanked Ghana Music Awards-UK for the initiative and expressed appreciation to the people of the UK for turning up in their numbers.

Many entertainment pundits have praised the hard work exhibited by TiC back in the days, which led to the promotion of Hiplife on radio and at festivals in the UK, an act which contributed immensely to the Afrobeats story today.
