I feel fulfilled organising ‘Women of Valour’ – Nana Aba Anamoah

 Marking extremely hard to bring to fruition her dream programme, ‘Women of Valour’(WoV) was what gave ace broadcaster, Nana Aba Anamoah one of the greatest moment to be glad.

The event took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel on Tuesday, March 7, to mark the International Women’s Day.

The maiden edition of ‘Women of Valour’ is about the Untold Stories of Courage; a unique initiative created by Nana Aba Anamoah.

The event brought togeth­er young females to listen to stories of some successful women to encourage them to aspire to greatness in life.

Speaking after the event, Nana Aba Anamoah said she felt fulfilled seeing her dream materialised, adding that it took her some time to reach out to some of the speakers, but interestingly they will­ingly accepted her invitation without hesitation.

“The purpose of ‘Women of Valour’ is to recognise and highlight the stories of coura­geous women, and to cele­brate their achievements in various fields of endeavours,” she explained.

She noted that the sto­ries shared by the speakers were powerful to change the narrative for other women, which was the motive for the programme.

Nana Aba said, women encountered limitations in many aspects of their lives and because there was power in people’s stories, the event would serve as a great source of encouragement and direc­tion.

Present at the function were the award-winning Nige­rian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, award-Winning South African SuperSport, presenter Julia Stuart, and Ghanaian Children’s Rights Activist, Eugenia Baffour Bankoh.

Also present were former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Charlotte Osei, legal practitioner, Naa Odofoley Nortey, politician and youth mentor, Obuobia Darko Opoku and etiquette coach, Sika Goka.
