The Max team addressing the media

Max, a pioneer in commercial electronic vehicle technology for transport in Africa, has announced its entry into the Ghanaian market.

The move is aimed at offering commuting alternatives for drivers and people.

As part of this, they have announced the appointment of David Hoyme as Director of International Growth and Expansion.

Speaking to the media at Alisa Hotel on Friday, November 4, 2022, MrHoyme said Max was funded with the vision to provide affordable mobility to all riders in Africa.

He said that the quick adoption of Max in Nigeria is an indication that other markets are ready to receive the company.

He added that “Max is looking at introducing electronic vehicles into the African market, and it is great expectation for Ghana to be one of the key areas for this to be enrolled.”

Tolu Williams, Head, E-Mobility at Max, said, “The official rollout in Ghana is a necessary step on the mission to address the perennial problems around urban and rural mobility across the African continent.”

He said that Max had been able to establish a vehicle subscription service to address affordability for drivers and provide employment. He again said that features like the e-wallet and other benefits also sought to solve the problem of financial inclusion for operators in rural areas.

According to him, Max’s entry into Ghana and planned expansion to other countries was an indication of its readiness to help Africa embrace a feature of renewable energy driven by electric vehicles.
