Medeama, Bechem United to lock horns at Tarkwa

With the weekend’s top-liner between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak postponed for the former campaign in Africa club championships, tomorrow’s clash Medeama SC and Bechem United will be the biggest fixture of the 14th round of games of the Ghana Premier League (GPL).

Medeama was one of the sides tipped to run the show in the competition but a few slumps here and there has resulted in their mid-table placement while the likes of Karela, Bechem United, Great Olympics and Elmina Sharks have dominated the headlines.

At home, they have been solid, though. The recent feat over Hearts at the refurbished Arkoon Park remains a testimony to this fact and remains one of the reasons why they are heavily tipped to unsettle the stubborn Bechem.

Bechem are coming from an encouraging 3-1 victory over high-flying Great Olympics and would surely hope to sustain that performance against a motivated Medeama side.

Berekum Chelsea will also face off with Eleven Wonders at the Golden City Park in what promises to be full of fireworks while Dreams FC and Aduana Starts square off at the Dawu Park.

After suffering their first defeat at home, Karela United would face another tough test against a rejuvenated Ebusua Dwarfs side at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

From a tottering side that struggled to win matches, Dwarfs have grown to become a formidable force in the competition and at home, they represent a huge threat for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Liberty Professionals would face relegation threatened Inter Allies at the Carl Reindoff Park in Dansoman.

On Monday, Legon Cities and King Faisal would square off at the Accra Sports Stadium, the same venue expected to host the encounter between Accra Great Olympics and Elmina Sharks on Tuesday.

The games, however, start today at Sogakope where WAFA welcome Ashantigold SC.
