New Mafi-Dadoboe Queen pledges to ‘live up to expectation

Chiefs and Elders of the Akorto Royal Family at Mafi-Dadoboe in the Volta Region, have installed Ms Beauty Deladem Siabi-Mensah, a final year student of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU), the new Queen of the community.
Ms Siabi-Mensah, 24, is pursuing a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Procurement and Supply in the university.
Born January 17, 1999, the new queen who now bears the stool name Mama Nyamlor lll, was installed after the death of the old queen, Mama Nyamlor, II.
The colourful ceremony which was interspersed with traditional drumming and dancing attracted cream of traditional leaders, citizens of Mafi -Dadoboe,well wishers and friends.
The Akorto Clan, under the kingship of Togbe Ayite Duame ll, has witnessed some positive developments in the Mafi Traditional Area, through education, social integration and peaceful co-existence, over the last 55 years.
Mama Nyamlor lll, is the daughter of Mr. Sampson Siabi-Mensah and Madam Gifty Doe Atoboyo Gadri.
In an interview with The Spectator last Thursday, the new queen, pledged to share ideas with various stakeholders in the area on development, assuring “ I will live up to the utmost expectation to justify the confidence reposed in me by the clan.”
“I want to inspire hope in the youth of our community through a foundation that I intend to set- up after school…Our girls need more mentors to help them change the narrative of who the girl -child can become. That is a course I want to lead during my reign,” Mama Nyamlor said.
She added that, sexual rights and reproductive health education would also be on her table to empower more women to stay focused in realising their potentials.
Mama Nyamlor III, appealed to Mafi-Dadoboe to pray and also assist her achieve her dreams for the collective good of the community.
