Member of Parliament (MP) for the people of North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated all collections received at his late father’s funeral and memorial service to Battor Catholic Hospital.
 
During the ceremony, the family made an announcement that all monies received would be donated to the Battor Catholic Hospital.
 
Revealing the gesture on Tuesday, the MP wrote on facebook, “consistent with our family’s announcement at the funeral & memorial service of my late dad, we were at the Battor Catholic Hospital earlier today to donate all collections received for the family during the service.”
 
“We hope it would help vulnerable patients in need of financial support.
We are grateful to you all for your heartwarming generosity,” he posted.
 
The legislator,last Saturday, August 14, 2021, laid his father, Theophilus Brown Okudzeto to rest at Battor.
 
The ceremony was graced by former President H.E. John Mahama; Rt. Hon. former Speaker Edward Doe Adjaho; Rt. Hon. Speaker Alban Bagbin’s delegation, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang; Ministers of State including Dr. Archibald Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, over 80 MPs from both sides of the aisle, NDC national and regional executives among other distinguished personalities.
