Two philanthropists, Mrs Deborah Borketey-Tackie, Founder of Dynamic United Stars Africa Foundation (DUSAF) and Mrs Mary Ada Atayobor, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vendajules Slay World, have donated GH¢13,294 to help settle medical bills of some patients at the Trauma and Orthopaedics Unit of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The gesture last Friday, according to them, formed part of their commitment to support the needy and they expressed thanks to God for His goodness and positive impact in their lives.

Speaking during the presentation, Mrs Mary Ada Atayobor stressed the importance of extending a helping hand to the sick with the “little we can afford,” indicating that the donation was a personal initiative which began about three years ago.

She said she was grateful to God for guidance and protection over the years hence the decision to collaborate with DUSAF which continued to reach out to the needy and the less privileged in society since its inception.

Mrs Deborah Borketey-Tackie, CEO of DUSAF, encouraged the general public and other benevolent organisations to support persons in different forms of distress or hardship.

Mr Joseph Kevelyn-Brocke, Public Relations Officer of DUSAF, commended Mrs Atayobor for collaborating with the organisation saying it was fulfilling to put smiles on the faces of patients being treated for various conditions.

Staff at the facility also thanked the donors and individuals who continued to make positive impact by providing support to the less privileged in diverse ways.
