Premier League sponsor excited over resumption of league after court ruling

Headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League betPawa has expressed excitement over the resumption of the league which was on hold due to a court injunction.

The Human Rights court yesterday dismissed an application filed by Ashanti Gold SC on the GFA leading to the suspension of the BetPawa Ghana Premier League

The club will pay GHS 20,000 in damages.

In a release by the sports betting company, “we are happy to announce that the betPawa Premier League is back! We will announce very soon when the games resume.”

The statement continued to add that “we can’t wait to have you back in the stadiums and enjoying the games with us. We are looking forward to working even more closely with the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the clubs and the players, and the fans as well to support the growth of football in the country as we make a lasting difference through our shared passion for the game.”

“We would like to thank you all for your patience during this time. See you at the next game!”
