A session at the Smart Lab

Reigning Ghana’s Most Beautiful(GMB) Queen, Sarfoa has inaugurated a refurbished Smart Lab for Senior Correctional Centre, Borstal Home in Accra.

The project undertaken included renovation of dilapidated computer laboratory to a Smart laboratory with Artificial Intelligence (AI), train the inmates in IT and robotics, tablets, projectors.

The vision started during the GMB competition, and right after she was adjudged winner, she put in place necessary arrangements to ensure her dream was realised.

She said her initiative was centred on prison reformation in Ghana, and it would continue after handing over her reign.

Speaking to The Spectator, Sarfoa said she had the inspiration from her church, Church of Pentecost.

According to her, aside this, she had visited about six prisons, supplied them food, medicine, clothes and some gadgets and in collaboration with the Church of Pentecost, shared the word of God with them.

She said, it was her dream that the Smart Lab would go a long way to help the inmates by equipping them with modern technologies to be abreast of time.

The initiative was undertaken through the support of the National Lotteries Authority, Good Causes Foundation and Coral Reef Innovation Hub.

She thanked her team and everyone who supported the Sarfoa Foundation, saying “I am grateful.”
