Thousands thrilled at VGMA23 Xperience Concert at Koforidua 

It was a period of uncontrolled excitement as some nominees of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards thrilled thousands of music lovers in the Eastern Regional capital, Koforidua on Easter Monday, April 18, 2022.

The event dubbed the Xperience Concert which took place at the Jubilee Park saw emerging artistes from the Region grace the stage. 

Nominees for this year’s Unsung Artiste category, Roy X Taylor, Shugalord, Chief One, Vanilla, King Maaga, Bryan The Mensah, RCEE, Ama Nova, Nautyca, and Gambo proved their mettle on the big stage.

The moment many had been waiting for came for some top-brass in Ghana music to take their turn on the big stage, as Akesse Brempong and Joyce Blessing led the gathering to the throne of praise and worship.

The crowd went into a frenzy of excitement as the ‘King’ of live band, Samini, thrilled them with an energetic display on the night.

Kwame Yogot, Kelvin Boy, Medikal, Fameye, Amerado, Dhope Nation and Kofi Kinaata charged the thousands gathered with amazing performances and sang along with them during their time on stage

At a point, veteran Disc Jockey, Andy Dosty took his turn on the turntable mesmerising the audience with back to back mixes of some drill music.

Speaking to The Spectator, Public Relations Officer of Charter House, Robert Klah, expressed appreciation to the people of Koforidua for opening their arms to the organisers and wholeheartedly cheering up all the artistes who graced the platform.

He urged the public to continuously vote for their favourites in the various categories, adding that what happened at Koforidua was part of the buildup to the grand finale of the event.

Robert further expressed his appreciation to the industry players in the Eastern Region for all the support saying, he was confident, the workshop organised ahead of the event would go a long way to help them.
