Selorm Gafah

 It was an uncontrolled ecstasy at the National Theatre of Ghana last Sunday, October 8, when Volta region’s Selorm Magdalene Gafah was announced winner of this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB).

After 13 weeks of grueling encounter, she outwitted her closest competitors – Greater Accra region’s, Naa Ayeley and Bono region’s Kwarte­maa who were first and second runners-up, respectively.

She drove away the brand new car and a cash prize of GH¢15,000, a Camon 20 brand new phone from Tecno and GH¢5,000 worth of products from the company at stake.

Additionally, she will also be on an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai.

During her presentation, Selorm enumerated some promi­nent personalities her region has blessed this country with includ­ing the late former President Jer­ry John Rawlings, late playwright Efo Kodjo Mawugbe and late sing­er Ephraim Amu among others.

She went on to add “we are one Volta, one united people, together we can do great things.”

To wrap up her show-stopping display, she danced to the popular Agbadza dance which was re­ceived with resounding applause and excitement from the packed auditorium.
