Ways to grow before entering into a new relationship (final)

Never underestimate the significance of individual growth

No matter how small it may be, growth is always something that you initiate for yourself and no one else can bring that growth about for you. It’s not something that you can just belittle or shrug off. It’s not something that you should deem unimportant. Every day is an opportunity for growth. And now that you’re still single, you need to make sure that you continue to grow and develop as an individual. When you do so, you are giving yourself a better shot at making your future relationships work.

Discover the things that are most important to you in this life.

Do a lot of self-discovery and soul searching. For you to find meaning and fulfillment in your relationships, you have to be able to figure out what you really want out of love and life in general. And for you to know what you really want, you have to take a deep look into who you really are and what makes you tick as an individual. And once you gain a better understanding of what you want, the easier it will be for you to spot the kind of relationships that are actually worth your time.

Understand and appreciate the things that motivate and inspire you.

We are all creatures of habit. As human, we all like to settle into a routine to some extent. We find comfort in the familiar. However, sometimes, our habits can actually be destroying us. And that’s why we have to grow to understand the things that are actually just destructive in our lives, and we have to rid ourselves of these things. We have to focus all of our energy on the things that inspire and motivate us to be better people.

Pursue your efforts.

A lot of people say pursue your passion and you will be happy. But that’s not always the case. What you should really do is pursue your efforts. Pursue the things that you’re good at. Just because you’re passionate about something doesn’t mean that it’s meant for you. But when you grow comfortable in the things where you exert most of your efforts, then you will end up feeling more fulfilled and productive.
