2 Prisons officers reported missing at SCC

The Ghana Prisons Service (GPS) has announced that two of its personnel have gone missing.

The two are Corporal Theophilus Yartey with the service number 9906 who last reported to work on November 26, 2018 and Second Class Officer Asamani Maxwell Kissiedu with service number 11284 who last reported to work on April 15, 2019.

Through the Senior Correctional Centre (SCC), the two have been declared missing, having absented themselves from duty for more than 21 days.

According to Deputy Director of Prisons, DDP Millicent Owusu, the Officer-In-Charge (OIC) of the prison facility where the officers were stationed, they have not reported to work in a long time without any formal documentation.

DDP Owusu mentioned that, frantic efforts deployed to know their whereabouts have still not yield any result.

Corporal Theophilus Yartey hails from Aplaku in the Greater Accra Region and speaks English, Ga and Twi with a height of 5.10 feet tall, and dark in complexion.

2CO Asamani Maxwell Kissiedu hails from Larteh-Akwapim in the Eastern Region and speaks English and Twi with a height of 5.10 feet tall with a dark skin colour.

The OIC of the station, appealed to the public to furnish the service or the police with information on the two officers
