Assin Fosu: St. Francis Xavier Hospital mortuary gets facelift

Following the provision of quality healthcare to its cli ents, St. Francis Xavier Hos pital at Assin Fosu which is one of the major health facilities in the Central Region has moved a step further to put the hospital on a high pedestal.

Management of the facility has extended dignity to the dead by fixing state-of-the-art equipment at its mortuary where every dead body now occupies a shelf and is covered with shroud kit.

Dead bodies are no longer put on bare floor “naked” as done previously which compelled patrons of the hospital to transport their dead relatives to other mortuaries outside Assin Fosu for proper preservation.

The hospital, according to available statistics, currently has about 200 bodies in the “Cold room” (mortuary).

This reporter has visited the morgue times without number but his recent visit to the place revealed how the mortuary has undergone “Multimillion Ghana cedis” facelift to stand the test of time.

Management is, therefore, leaving no stone unturned to live up to their responsibility by delivering quality services to people within Assin Fosu and beyond.
