Choose your running mate from Bono – Nana Agyemang Badu II tells Dr.Bawumia

Dormaahene, Nana Agyemang Badu II, has charged the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamdu Bawumia to choose his running mate from either Bono or Bono East Regions or risk losing support from other regions in the country.

The NPP flagbearer is yet to announce his running mate for the 2024 elections.

He made this suggestion when Dr. Bawumia called on the traditional leaders of the area.

According to him, “I have seen that you will soon choose your running mate, I do not see why one particular region wants to be given the Running Mate slot.”

Dormaahene added that most of the regions have competent people, for this reason, if care is not taken and the slot is only reserved for a particular region as rumoured, they risk losing votes from other regions.

He mentioned Member of Parliament (MP) for Techiman South Constituency, Bono East Region Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah and MP Sunyani West Constituency, and Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour Awuah, and others as competent for the position of running mate.
