I want Ghana Police Service to become world-class institution – Dampare

The Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo-Dampare has reiterated his commitment to build a world-class police service.

He made these remarks on Tuesday, August 12, when he appeared before the Parliamentary Committee probing the plot to remove him from office.

According to him, it is his vision to build a world-class police service which will be a reference point in the country and the world for other institutions.

This, he said, is in line with the mission of the Ghana Police Service to become a world-class Police Service capable of delivering planned, democratic, protective, and peaceful services up to the standards of international best practice.

Against this backdrop, he said he has been working together with his team to ensure that everyone’s opinion is considered.

He added that Police Service will continue to put measures in place to ensure they become the most respected organisation in the country and a reference point for Africa and the world in general.
