All is set for Taste of Accra on Saturday

All is set for the maiden edition of Taste of Accra, an event aimed at throwing the spotlight on distinctive, authentic traditional Ghanaian cuisines.

The event powered by Kantamanto Pot is slated for this Saturday, December 23 at the Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Kaneshie.

According to the organisers, Fufu, Omo tuo, Konkonte, Bush Meat, snails and many other Ghanaian delicacies would be on display for patrons to have a good time.

To sustain the experience, there would be activities like PS5 game competition (Rep Ur Jersey), eating competition, Kids fun zone, flip games, diaspora & Alumni reunion fun games (Rep Ur School and Jama competition among others.

Speaking to thespectatoronline.com, Nana Adjoa Owusu, the brain behind the event said the Taste of Accra is aimed at promoting local dishes and instilling in the youth the taste for Ghanaian cuisines.

She said the event is slated to start from 11 am coupled with competition and dishing out gifts from sponsors to winners.

Nana Adjoa, said the time has come for Ghanaians to take food tourism seriously, adding that it is the goal of the event to create the needed awareness and craze around local foods.

She urged all interested stakeholders to reach out to the organisers for appropriate responses to their needs.
