Burial for JJ Rawlings slated for January 27

The burial rites of the former President Jerry John Rawlings is now scheduled to be held from January 24 to 27.

The burial service of Ghana’s first President of the Fourth Republic will be held from 9am to 11am at the Independence Square in Accra.

As part of activities, a mass will be held on January 26 from 9am to 11am at the Holy Spirit Cathedral, Accra.

This was disclosed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration to the diplomats and the general public on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

The funeral arrangement was scheduled for December 20, but later postponed due to some concerns raised by the Awadada of the Anlo State, Agbotui and Allied families.
