The Ghana Police Service (GPS) is with a heavy heart mourning three of their gallant officers who lost their lives in a fatal accident yesterday at Kyekyewere along the Accra – Kumasi Highway

These officers with the Formed Police Unit (FPU) were on their way to Kwahu for operational duties.

According to them in line with Ghanaian tradition and the Ghana Police Service Regulations, full details will be communicated after the bereaved families are formally informed.

The FPU vehicle among the police convoy plunged into a nearby bush after it skidded the highway and somersaulted.

The doors of the FPU vehicle involved in the accident ripped off and had its windscreen cracked.
