Protracted dispute between some fetish priests and priestesses at Otublohum was settled at the Mantse Ankrah Royal Family House in Accra recently.

The reconciliation was done by Nii Adjabeng Ankrah 11. Head of Mantse Ankrah royal family at the Otublohum Dadeban Naa.

He said the unity of the two groups was very crucial for the development of the area in peace.

He said, “If we want development, then peaceful coexistence devoid of unresolved conflicts, must be pursued.”

“The over a decade dispute had affected some close relatives of the priests and priestesses who are also family members of the Mantse Ankrah royal family and it is time to reconcile the factions for development”, Nii Adjabeng Ankrah II reiterated.

The High fetish priestess of the Dadeban Naa, Arday Ablah, interceded and helped in performing some rites to appease the gods for forgiveness and reversal of curses between the parties.

The remorseful priests and priestesses pledged to live as one people with a common agenda in executing their mandates for the betterment of the Mantse Ankrah royal family and the Ga state as a whole.

Principal Elder of the Mantse Ankrah royal family, Nii Ayi Ankrah, admonished the priests and priestesses to always give room for peaceful coexistence in the family.

He commended Nii Adjabeng Ankrah II for organising such a memorable event to create a long lasting peace among the family and the fetish priests and priestesses and advised the inhabitants to accord them the respect they deserved.
