Reduce transport fares

Transport fares keep increasing in the country lately and the situation has been unbearable for passengers.

There has always been misunderstanding between commercial drivers and passengers.

Some passengers have to walk from their homes to work so that they can rather board a car from work to back to their homes.

This increment of fares which occurred after 19 per cent fare increase went into effect on last Saturday following the agreement reached with the Ghana Road Transport Cordinating Council and government.

The cost of petrol and diesel is alarming .

This has resulted in car owners parking their cars at home and rather boarding commercial cars to reduce cost.

Yet there has not any increment in salaries, but prices of everything in the country have gone up.

I am pleading with the government to subsidise the price of fuel in the country to make standard of living flexible.
