TiC applauds The Spectator for Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

TiC addressing the gathering at Labone Senior High School

Ghanaian music legend, Nana Kweku Okyere Duah, affectionately called TiC, has applauded The Spectator for embarking on a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

According to him, it was a good initiative for media houses with a large audience to get involved in the awareness creation.

He said what the New Times Corporation, through its weekly newspaper, The Spectator, has done would go a long way to save lives.

Speaking at an awareness campaign talk held at his alma mater, Labone Senior High School last Friday, he said the decision to target high school students after a free screening and supply of medication at the Kaneshie market complex was crucial.

He charged the students to put whatever they had been taught into use and share the information with their friends and family.

The musician commended Ghanaian Times reporter, Raissa Sambou, for gathering the courage to share her story as a breast cancer survivor.

After speaking to the students, he mesmerised them with an amazing performance of back to back hit songs from his repertoire, including his current song, ‘Wayo’, in which he featured Joe Frazier.
