Kotoko, Faisal clash in Ashanti regional derby

Kumasi Asante Kotoko would renew their rivalry with King Faisal in an Ashanti regional derby when they clash in a matchday six game of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow.

The Porcupine Warriors have been outstanding so far, winning four out of five games with a draw against Karela United last weekend.

Having beaten King Faisal once and a 1-1 stalemate last season, Coach Prosper Ogum and his charges will be eager to sustain their dominance over the ‘Insha Allah’ boys.

The latter are three points behind Kotoko at second place after three victories, a draw and one defeat; aiming to end the unbeaten run of the Porcupine Warriors.

At the Accra Sports Stadium today, underperforming Accra Lions will welcome Eleven Wonders.

The action continues today at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa, where spirited Aduana Stars host West Africa Soccer Academy (WAFA).

Elmina Sharks will lock horns with Karela United at the Ndoum Park in Elmina today.

Tomorrow at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, Ashantigold SC and Legon Cities will be keen to bounce back to winning ways after defeats to Real Tamale United (RTU) and Aduana Stars respectively last weekend.

Berekum Chelsea will have a tough hurdle to scale when they play host to impressive Real Tamale United at the Golden City Park tomorrow.

Dreams will welcome newbies Bibiani Gold Stars to the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu tomorrow, while third-placed Bechem United travel to face Wonder Club Great Olympics in Accra.
