The second edition of the much-awaited Slit and Kaba festival, is set for May 1 at the Legon City Mall in Accra.
Organised by Roots Africa, the festival is aimed at promoting Ghanaian culture through the traditional ‘Slit and Kaba’ outfit made of colourful African prints and designs.
Speaking to The Spectator ahead of the second edition, the Founder of Roots Africa, Mrs Deborah Kabutey-Djisah, aka Manye Korngo, said they were looking forward to a bigger event this year.
“Come let’s celebrate, network, buy and showcase our beautiful African prints in ‘Slit and Kaba’ attire at the event,” she stated.
She disclosed that, they were currently calling all vendors and sponsors to be part of the celebration.
She said the maiden event, held last year, was a great success, attracting patrons from all across the country.
“I’m expecting 10 times more of the crowd that showed up for the festival last year,” she added.
